ANOTHER EXCELLENT ADVENTURE

WOW

We've said goodbye to sunsets like this for a while, coz in Sweden the sun never sets during the Summer. Well not much anyway...we're off to Germany to visit Sean for a few days and then to Bremen to visit Ellen, Ralf and the family.

Then......I'm going to work for the first time in centuries.
A good friend, Staffan, owns a high tech styrofoam factory about 50 miles from Gothenburg, and he's kindly giving me a job to help me out of my brokedness (is there such a word?).

Another good friend, Bodders, has come through for me again by lending us a Volkswagen campervan for the Summer so we have somewhere to sleep and have a bit of mobility for the odd days off. You may remember he was the guy who lent me 'THE BEAST' (the Tiger in earlier adventures, i.e. the Northern Europe Tour, two years ago - see archives).

Michelle is really looking forward to escaping from here for the first time, and I'm going to be happy showing her another side of life, albeit a little bit more expensive than the Philippines!!!!!

All we have to do is get through the immigration guys tomorrow at 0500 hours and I'll breathe a massive sigh of relief.

Meanwhile..............my boat, the 'Goutmaster 1' is in Manila and for sale if anybody wants a super tough Australian offshore boat which does 45 knots with a 200hp engine stuck on the back. Engine is not included in the sale. Here's a photo.

Second meanwhile........ our new pier in the resort at El Rio has been completed, just waiting for the final finishes to the bar.. After watching 3 floating bars be destroyed by typhoons, this new concrete structure will be typhoon proof, and is set out right on the edge of the reef with steps down into the sea. Perfect for snorkelling, diving or tying up a 44 foot yacht. Yes, Jim Fernie was the first with his new Bavaria 44 Vision.

And thus, we end another chapter, off to seek new worlds and fill up the bank account as much as possible. Next blog will be from Sunny Sweden (I hope), hurdy gurdy, where's da chicky, here chicky chicky..........slash. The only good chicken is a dead one on my plate!!

I'll leave you with a great photo of Lerna and Michelle jumping for joy, (although Joy was in Club Paradise at the time...)
