No not the film I just watched, but a veeery long stay down in the islands off Northern Palawan.
No pictures thie time, just an update, due to my old computer (one year old) crashing and then my new Thinkpad crashing after 3 months, I don't have much luck with these things.
We said bye bye to Sean at the end of August and flew back to Busuanga in the first week of September, goodbye to 'sanctuary' and wireless, fast internet. The internet in the resorts is so slow, it's like going back ten years in time, it took me one and a half hours to sign in to Yahoo the other day!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm here in Manila with wireless again till tomorrow when we return to Busuanga.
Sean just arrived and is setting up another new boat from Technautique.com, a copy of my Australian offshore sport fishing boat, which does 45 knots with a 200 hp outboard stuck on the back. He's bringing it back to El Rio with my old dinosaur 200, and then we'll exchange engines for a new one we have down there.
My old red sport boat has been re-done and re painted and looks great, with a 250 litre underfloor fuel tank now, it's capable of doing a Busuanga to Puerto Galera trip in 4 hours and without re-fuelling...... It's for sale for 9000 usd with the old dinosaur 200 Mariner on it if anyone needs a fast big wave capable boat. No guarantee on the engine, but a new one is 13,000 usd.
Michelle is still with me, don't know why, but she's a most excellent companion, and she's coming with me to Germany and Sweden at the beginning of May (visa permitting).
The plan is to visit Sean in Frankfurt, Otto/Suzanne in Hamburg, Ellen/Ralf in Bremen, Andre/Annette in Berlin and then go up through Denmark to a small town in Sweden called Laholm, South of Gothenburg.
There we have friends where I'm going to WORK..........
Staffan owns a high tech styrofoam factory where Swedish Mike from Concepcion Pier house fame goes with Elizabeth every Summer to earn his cash. Thomas also works there, and so will I this year. I visited the place two years ago on the 'TIGER' and will be quite happy doing some hard grafting this Summer, the first time in 15 years I will earn some money. I don't know how I've survived so long.
So, I think I'll leave it here, and put up some photos when I get back to my place tomorrow. There should be a few and I'll edit this and add more soon as......................
