THE LOST WINTER MONTHS

I haven't written anything for three and a half months, so I guess I've lost anyone who actually read my blog, but I'll try starting again.

I also have a new serious Travel Blog and the link is to the right hand side of this article. It will detail serious trips such as the 'most excellent adventure' planned with a fast launch (Sean's boat) around the Visayas and across to Palawan and down to Borneo and back, this next month!!!!!!!???

It will also have the preparation problems and exciting moments for the 'Trans Siberian Rolls Royce' trip planned for the summer of 2008 with Rosemarie Jeffrey, a fit older lady who is much taken with the idea of gallivanting off around the Gobi desert with a young buck such as myself!!!

The book to follow will be titled "My travels with the Spirit of Ecstasy" or some such guff.

So......

Try to remember what has being happening for 10 weeks??

Sean came back and picked me up from the resort AGAIN, despite my having just bought a plane ticket for the return. It just happened to coincide with Juergen Warnke's 25th 'ín the Philippines' party with Albert Robert, another old Manila hand celebrating the same thing. A good party on the beach as usual, next to the pristine waters of the lovely island of Club Paradise.

Back to Manila, more fun, met my new girlfriend Michelle, who is wonderful, smart and very pretty, and we then flew back to Busuanga the next week, and spent the next 2 months getting things fixed, cleaning the house and doing all the jobs which had been neglected by others for a long time!!!

Christmas was ok and New Year ok, I don't like this period of the year, I like to get pissed whenever I want and not have to have a reason to do it!....

Sean brought his boat over from Boracay around the first week in January with Russians and then Germans and lots of beer, just as well because the whole area was very short of San Miguel for a long time after New Year due to the breakdown of the newly renovated Superferry. Of course, Michelles cousin and several other friends were on board at the time, and they all spent the next 2 days drifting around Calavite point before being towed back to Manila.(It's just broken down again, ha ha!!!)

We had the international "Hobie Challenge"race finish at Club Paradise again for the third time in the 8 year history of the event, which was cool.

Then we got in the boat and went back to Manila via Pandan Island for a chat with Dominic and Radek, who I haven't seen for a while. Calavite, as usual was a bloody nightmare, and it wasn't much better until we got inside the Manila Yacht Club defences after dark..A 10 hour trip. Very tiring.

Now I'm sitting in Sanctuary and don't want to leave the apartment for a few weeks, but we are soon to leave on the 'Most Excellent Adventure', got to keep up the suntan Dudes.

Check out Seans site link on the right for much more info on the last few months and more photos. I'll try to put some shots on now, but it doesn't always work, bummer dude.
